RELEASES

Stephen has released his own music through various projects. He was a member of the critically-acclaimed post-rock electronic band Halfset, whose albums include Dramanalog (Elusive Recordings, 2005) and the Choice Music Prize nominated Another Way of Being There (Casino Gravity, 2008). 

In 2011 Stephen composed, recorded and mixed an album under the name Strands. He subsequently released another Strands album entitled Inner Spaces in 2021.

Stephen released music as a member of the electronic duo Mount Alaska, releasing two EPs (Asterisk and Coordinates 251 Records) and an album (Wave Atlas - Season One - 251 Records).

More recently, Stephen released an album under his own name entitled Fathoms (251 Records - 2023), recorded with a string quartet from The Crash Ensemble. The record is entirely built around string and synthesiser compositions and is influenced by a love of film soundtrack music.
